#1908: Long-waisted Dress: Circa 1923-1924

The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The instructions are unillustrated. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.


Pattern #1908

Size: 36" bust, 28" waist, 39" hips.

This pattern was published by The Superior Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Long-waisted dress, with vest and closing at left side-front. Straight-gathered skirt in one-piece". Minimal directions. Pattern dates circa 1923-1924.

Suggested fabrics: Long-waisted dresses were made of silk satin charmeuse, wool crepe, crepe de chine, wool Poiret twill, tub silk and twill back velveteen. The colors were brown, tan, Copenhagen blue, scarlet, navy, kelly and silver grey.

Materials required: 3-5/8 Yds 36" wide, 3-1/2 Yds. 45" wide, 1-1/2 Yds. 1/2" ribbon, 7/8 Yds. 17" for collar, vest and contrasting material.
