The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic. |

Pattern #3421: Misses' Evening Dress: Dated 1940 Size: 32" bust, 35" hips. This pattern was published by The Simplicity Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Misses' Evening Dress. Eight-gored skirt for both Style 1 and 2. Style 1 skirt is trimmed with lace edging or novelty frilling, skirt and blouse are gathered to yoke at waistline. Square neck is gathered across front, back is round. The neckline edge is bound and has two rows of frilling and ribbon bows. Short sleeves, gathered in armhole and at bound lower edge. Style 2 short sleeves gathered into armhole and at dart seams." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dated 1940. Suggested fabrics: Dimity, batiste, starched chiffon, organdy, taffeta, eyelet batiste, and plaid organza. The colors were aqua blue, light blue, pink, white, royal blue, and sunset rose.
