#5436: Ladies' Long Coat: Circa 1911-1912

The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces were edited in the computer. The pattern is printed on white bond paper and slipped into a plastic sleeve.


Pattern #5436: Ladies' Long Coat: Circa 1911-1912

Size: 34" bust.

This pattern was published by The Peerless Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' Long Coat, with large fancy collar." An article telling and showing how to sew the #5436 coat appeared in the October 1911 issue of The Modern Priscilla. The article is titled "Experiences of a Home Dressmaker - An Experiment with a Long Coat" was written by Kathleen Cameron. The article is included, in full, with the pattern.

Suggested fabrics: Pongee, serge, blanket cloth, suiting, taffeta, satin, and linen. The colors were black, brown, and darker colors.

Materials required: 6 Yds. 36" wide.
